Garlic lemon tea
Dave is convinced this is what helped him get better. And I'll have to agree that I think it really does help. My sister found it on a blog and passed it on to me, after seeing benefits. It does sound awful, but it actually tastes pretty good. In fact, Mckenna now asks for it.
Garlic lemon tea (makes 1 serving, but doubles and triples easily)
2 cups water
8 cloves garlic
juice from 1 lemon
honey, to taste
Crush garlic in a pot and add water. Simmer for 20 minutes. Strain out the garlic and add lemon juice and honey to desired sweetness (probably a little more than you would usually take).
Note: Watch the water as it gets ready to boil. If you are not careful, it will easily boil all over.
So where does the lemon come in?
I'm not sure I would trust McKenna's taste in beverages! I remember...
Glad you are feeling better!
oops, Jerusha, you're right. I'll fix it.
I'm posting your post on my blog b/c I've had to go back to this recipe so many times!
